Mission statement
We strive to develop procedures for mass spectrometry driven -omics type of analysis. We focus on two research areas: (1) analytical metallomics and (2) analytical metabolomics (including lipids). In both fields, we advance (spatial) single cell analysis and quantification methods. Next to contributing with standard materials and procedures suitable for validation at the omics-scale, we integrate computational developments for data evaluation. Our elemental- and molecular mass spectrometry toolbox is applied broadly on different model systems (in vitro and in vivo cancer models, primary cell cultures, tissue, microbes, funghi) through a large network of collaborators in academia and industry.
